Q: What's new this year?
A: LOTS! We’ve updated the list of players, and made some significant changes to the way the game is played. For instance, it no longer matters what position your players play, you can have a team of all Quarterbacks if you want. Just add the players you think will produce the most points for your team. Also new this year, teams must be set BEFORE the games start each week. You will have up until 5 minutes before kickoff each week to get your roster set up. Any changes after that won’t take effect until the following week. This makes the game a lot more challenging and gives you a better chance to win! Be sure to read through the website to learn about other changes. Have fun!

Q: How do Declines/Trades work?
A: Each of the 5 positions on your fantasy team can be traded and/or declined a total of 5 times. A Decline happens when you choose to add a player, but do not like any of the choices you are given. Click Decline, and your card is marked as used, but the position is not filled. You may then enter a new card number to get a new list of players... you can Decline again, but remember you only get 5 chances! And, if you use all 5, you will not be able to trade that player later. Trades can be done at any point during the game... click Trade next to a players name and you will enter a new card number. Then you will get a new list of players from which to choose. Choose one and he replaces your former player. You begin picking up the new players points from the next day until the end of the season or you decide to trade him away later. Every time you Decline or Trade, it counts toward your total of 5 for that position. With 5 positions available on every team, you can use no more than 30 cards for each team ( 1 card/position + 5 Declines/Trades x 5 Positions).

Q: Do have to have my teams set up before the 2008 season begins?
A: No! When you first create a team, you get the points for each player you add (the first time you fill a position) retroactive to the first day of the season. So it doesn't matter when you join the game!

Q: Doesn't that give an advantage to those who enter later in the game?
A: It can, but those people miss out on the opportunity to win weekly prizes.

Q: Why does it say my card number is already used or invalid?
A: If the card is coming up as invalid, first double-check the number. Next, make sure it is not a card from last year's game (cards should say Scoring Drive 2008 at the top.) YOU MUST HAVE THIS YEAR'S GAME CARD TO PLAY. These can be found in packs of 2008 NFL trading cards... make sure you aren't buying last year's product.

If you are sure the number is right and you have this year's card, a number of events can make a card come up as used. People entering their card numbers inaccurately, etc. If you experience this problem, contact customer service and we will issue you a new card number. Please send the card number that is not working, and your Login e-mail address.

Q: Where can I find Game Cards?
A: Scoring Drive Game Cards are available in almost all packs of 2008 NFL Trading Cards at certain retail locations all over the United States. For a list of stores and products, click here. You may also receive a Scoring Drive Game Card by sending a SASE to: Scoring Drive Game Card, P.O. Box 1297, Des Moines, IA 50305-1297. WA and VT residents may omit return postage.

Q: Does it matter what position the player plays?
A: No it does not! You can have all Quarterbacks if you like. Just add the player you think will put up the most points for your team.

Q: Are Scoring Drive cards inserted into Full Boxes of Trading Cards?
A: Scoring Drive cards are available in single packs of trading cards in all retailers listed on the game cards page. They are also available in the new release Full Box products! 1 card for each pack in every box.

Q: How are the players I get to choose from selected?
A: The list of five players you choose from are drawn randomly from a list of the top Players and hottest Rookies in the league based on last year's stats. For a list of available players, click here.
